This is a project that uses positive and negative space. The assignment was to create a festive fall poster with a fictional event by including place, time, and cost. This project reflects my Mexican heritage because I wanted to include Día de Los Angelitos y Muertos. Día de Los Angelitios celebrates the children who have passed away and Día de Los Muertos celebrates the adults. The woman is visiting the tomb of her loved one with offerings of food and beverages, there is a candle and a little alebrije, the guardian spirit who is the bridge between the Land of the Dead and Living.
